Knott's Berry Farm
Total Timber Tour 2 Blog Day 20
Hi all and thanks for joining us on our penultimate day.
We received this from our friend, Andy, who is also responsible for the trip logo, cheers Andy.
After walking miles around Magic Mountain yesterday, today’s FLAT park was a welcome treat! Knott’s Berry Farm is America’s first true theme park and we had a couple of new coasters to try out since our last visit 5 years ago.
As our spanish-style hotel was only a 7 minute walk up the road, we thought a siesta would be a good idea and provided a good break for the 12-hours opening time of the park. We also took advantage of a 25% discount at TGI’s (courtesy of our season passes) and Ian was made up to be asked for I.D. to buy a lager (he’s 38)!
Throughput on Silver Bullet and Xcelerator was slow with both only having 1-train operation but it was good to see the Cedar Fair wood coaster rehab program in evidence on Ghost Rider, although they have a little way to go before making night rides more “user friendly”.
So, our last “park” of the trip was a good one. Tomorrow, we’re off to win our fortune in Las Vegas – plus a special addition to the trip at the Stratosphere. Stay tuned.
Until tomorrow..........
