Worlds of Fun, MO
Total Timber Tour 2 Blog Day 13
3 down, 1 to go! or 130 down, 1 to go!
Yes, today we did Worlds of Fun and got to ride Prowler, the last but one wooden coaster in the U.S. we haven’t ridden.
Worlds of Fun easily wins the hospitality award for the trip so far, being personally greeted and given access to back of rides for photo and video opportunities as well as free drinks and a some Prowler goodies.
The park was exceptionally quiet – pure luck we picked this day to visit. Weather was hot and humid. We arrived just after lunch and stayed to closing at 10pm. The work on Timber Wolf confirms Cedar Fair is turning over a new leaf in their wooden coaster maintenance program throughout the chain and TW is now re-rideable once again. Still a way to go to get back to its glory years but keep up the good work guys.
This was our first visit since Patriot opened and we both rated it highly, not your “bolt together” inverter but quite unique with a great flow and a very special in-line twist after the loop. On the right of the train, you truly feel as though you are flying free from any restraint.
Prowler was out of this world and exceeded our expectations by quite a few folds. The first GCIi we have ridden which was packed with airtime and one hell of a race from top of lift back to station. Dark rides have already become legendary and we spent the last 2 hours riding virtually non-stop.
Special mentions go to Brandon for the contact and tour of the park, Sheldon and Stephanie for the best coffee this side of the Atlantic and all the ride crews, especially those on Prowler. You guys were “awesome”!
So a day we will remember for many reasons. Thanks again Worlds of Fun and keep up the great work.
Until tomorrow....
